MOUNTAIN STATE STUFFED PEPPERS

 
 

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 lb of Mountain State Ground Beef

  • 3 bell peppers

  • 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese

  • Tablespoon of oil

  • 1 ¼ tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

  • 1/4 Teaspoon of pepper

  • Mariana Sauce (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees

  2. Cut tops off of peppers and remove seeds

  3. Partially cook peppers on medium heat for three minutes on each side. The peppers should be slightly browned and crispy.

  4. While bell peppers are being par-cooked, sauté 1 lb ground beef in a pan with 1 teaspoon salt, pepper and garlic powder

  5. Drain grease from the ground beef

  6. In a 9x13 baking dish, place the peppers cut side up. Cover with mozzarella cheese. Drizzle with 1 tablespoon oil and 1/4 teaspoon salt.

  7. Place pan in the oven for 15 minutes

  8. If wishing to add marinara sauce, remove peppers from the oven, place the sauce on top of the mozzarella cheese and place back into the oven for four minutes, or until cheese is melted and slightly golden
